Sure you know what model it is and can even guess what driver supports it and may even have some idea as to the IRQ, DMA and IO port it uses. Somehow it still does not seem to work until after you have fiddled with /etc/conf.modules and read a ton of documentation. Yeah it works but couldn't it be a little easier to do ? This is where Lothar enters the story. It is a fully GUI based tool which ties together many of the tools already included in a Linux distribution to automate and simplify the process of installing new hardware.
